Typically, the role of our PMO encompasses: • Resource Management – Ensuring the effective and efficient deployment of staff resources to achieve the project objectives and project plan in a timely and quality-based manner, within established budget guidelines. Utilizes tools such as RACI matrices to match resources with project tasks (see below). • Quality Management – Establishing and communicating quality standards to ensure consistency of approach across all project work effort and deliverables. Validating compliance through second-level review of a representative selection of team deliverables. • Performance Management and Reporting – Ensuring agreed-to project timelines and budgets are adhered to via monitoring and timely reporting of project status across geographic locations. Identifying, escalating, and resolving any issues or concerns that may impact “on time and within budget” performance. • Exception and Issue Management and Reporting – Ensuring all findings are discussed with the appropriate local process owner before being finalized and documented by the IV&V team.
