Policy Initiatives. A BC New Democrat Government agrees to advance the following legislative and policy initiatives identified as a condition of support by the ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ Caucus. These objectives are not an exhaustive list of the policy initiatives the BC New Democrat Government or ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ Caucus will advance, but are areas where we agree on shared values and outcomes for the people of British Columbia.
Policy Initiatives. To support the objective and outcomes of this Agreement, the Parties intend to implement the policy initiatives outlined in this section. The Commonwealth will provide a maximum total financial contribution to the States of $1.10 billion in respect of these initiatives, as set out in Table 4. To be eligible for Commonwealth funding for each policy initiative, a State must have an agreed implementation plan in place that includes the relevant initiative. A State’s implementation plan can cover any or all of the policy initiatives combined. Implementation plans must be agreed by the following dates: For the Enhanced VET Data and Evidence initiative, a State must have an implementation plan agreed by the Commonwealth on or before 30 June 2026. For all other policy initiatives, unless a later date is agreed by the Commonwealth, a State must have an implementation plan agreed by the Commonwealth on or before 30 June 2025. Implementation plans will outline, for relevant policy initiatives: the approach to implementation, with supporting evidence costs and funding arrangements delivery timeframes and simple milestones engagement arrangements, including relevant partnerships with First Nations peoples reporting arrangements that support regular public communication on policy initiatives and evaluation arrangements. The Commonwealth will consider implementation plans having regard to the requirements set out for each relevant policy initiative, and other conditions in this Agreement, as well as the extent to which the proposed approach would contribute to the delivery of national priorities, including with reference to the national plan once that plan is agreed, and jurisdictional action plans when available. This includes consideration of proposed funding arrangements. A State will be entitled to an initial payment for each policy initiative when the implementation approach is agreed as part of the implementation plan. The amount of the initial payment, and timing and amount of subsequent payment milestones up to the maximum Commonwealth contribution for that policy initiative will be agreed in each implementation plan. Policy Initiatives. A Yukon Liberal Government agrees to advance the following legislative and policy initiatives identified as a condition of support by the Yukon NDP Caucus. These objectives are not an exhaustive list of the policy initiatives the Yukon Liberal Government or Yukon NDP Caucus will advance, but are areas where there is agreement on shared values and outcomes for the people of the Yukon. 1. Making democracy work for people a. The Assembly shall be recalled within one month of the swearing-in of a Yukon Liberal Government. b. The first sitting of the Assembly will introduce and pass a budget for the 2021-2022 year. c. The Assembly shall sit in the Spring and Fall every year as per the Standing Orders. 2. Addressing climate change and protecting the environment a. To meet the urgent need to address the climate crisis, the Government of Yukon will amend its greenhouse gas emission reduction target from a 30 per cent reduction by 2030, compared to 2010 emissions, to a more ambitious target of a 45 per cent reduction by 2030, compared to 2010 emissions. Plans to reach the target will be developed by a newly-established Yukon Climate Leadership Council, modelled on the British Columbia Climate Solutions Council. The members will include representatives from environmental organizations and renewable energy sector, industry, Yukon First Nations, labour, municipal governments, youth and Yukon University, to be selected through mutual agreement of the Yukon Liberal Government and the Yukon NDP Caucus. b. In accordance with the Our Clean Future report, The Clean Energy Act and regulations will be enacted by 2022. c. Legislation to ban single use plastics shall be in force by December 31, 2021, including any necessary regulations. 3. Creating jobs and a sustainable economy that works for everyone a. Minimum wage will be increased to $15.20 an hour, effective August 1, 2021, with increases applied annually on April 1 of each subsequent year tied to inflation. b. To ensure that workers were able to prioritize their health and reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Government of Yukon established a program to reimburse employers for up to 10 days of paid sick leave taken by their employees. That program, due to end on September 30, 2021, will be extended through September 30, 2022. c. To meet the commitment to ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ made at the time of devolution, successor legislation for the mining sector is required.   • Projects There shall be a thirty (30) km free zone around the projects excluding the Metro Vancouver Area. For local residents, kilometers shall be paid from the boundary of the free zone around the project.   • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • MINISTRY/SCHOOL BOARD INITIATIVES ETFO will be an active participant in the consultation process to develop a Ministry of Education PPM regarding Ministry/School Board Initiatives.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Alignment with Modernization Foundational Programs and Foundational Capabilities The activities and services that the LPHA has agreed to deliver under this Program Element align with Foundational Programs and Foundational Capabilities and the public health accountability metrics (if applicable), as follows (see Oregon’s Public Health Modernization Manual, (▇▇▇▇://▇▇▇.▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇/oha/PH/ABOUT/TASKFORCE/Documents/public_health_modernization_man ual.pdf): a.
