SHOP DRAWINGS, PRODUCT DATA AND SAMPLES. 3.12.1 Shop Drawings are drawings, diagrams, schedules and other data specially prepared for the Work by the Construction Manager or a Subcontractor, Sub-subcontractor, manufacturer, supplier or distributor to illustrate some portion of the Work.
3.12.2 Product Data are illustrations, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams and other information furnished by the Construction Manager to illustrate materials or equipment for some portion of the Work.
3.12.3 Samples are physical examples which illustrate materials, equipment or workmanship and establish standards by which the Work will be judged.
3.12.4 Shop Drawings, Product Data, Samples and similar submittals are not Contract Documents. The purpose of their submittal is to demonstrate for those portions of the Work for which submittals are required by the Contract Documents the way by which the Construction Manager proposes to conform to the information given and the design concept expressed in the Contract Documents. Review by the Architect is subject to the limitations of Subparagraph 4.2.7. Informational submittals upon which the Architect is not expected to take responsive action may be so identified in the Contract Documents. Submittals which are not required by the Contract Documents may be returned by the Architect without action.
3.12.5 The Construction Manager shall review for compliance with the Contract Documents, approve and submit to the Architect Shop Drawings, Product Data, Samples and similar submittals required by the Contract Documents with reasonable promptness and in such sequence as to cause no delay in the Work or in the activities of the Owner or of separate Construction Managers. Submittals which are not marked as reviewed for compliance with the Contract Documents and approved by the Construction Manager may be returned by the Architect without action.
3.12.6 By approving and submitting Shop Drawings, Product Data, Samples and similar submittals, the Construction Manager represents that the Construction Manager has determined and verified materials, field measurements and field construction criteria related thereto, or will do so, and has checked and coordinated the information contained within such submittals with the requirements of the Work and of the Contract Documents.

SHOP DRAWINGS, PRODUCT DATA AND SAMPLES. 4.12.1 Shop Drawings are drawings, diagrams, schedules and other, data specially prepared for the Work by the Contractor or any Subcontractor, manufacturer, supplier or distributor to illustrate some portion of the Work.
4.12.2 Product Data are illustrations, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams and other information furnished by the Contractor to illustrate a material, product or system for some portion of the Work.
4.12.3 Samples are physical examples which illustrate materials, equipment or workmanship and establish standards by which the Work will be judged.
4.12.4 The Contractor shall review, approve and submit, with reasonable promptness and in such sequence as to cause no delay in the Work or in the work of the State or any separate contractor, all Shop Drawings, Product Data and Samples required by the Contract Documents.
4.12.5 By approving and submitting Shop Drawings, Product Data and Samples, the Contractor represents that he / she has determined and verified all materials, field measurements, and field construction criteria related thereto, or will do so, and that he / she has checked and coordinated the information contained within such submittals with the requirements of the Work and of the Contract Documents.
4.12.6 The Contractor shall not be relieved of responsibility for any deviation from the requirements of the Contract Documents by the Architect's approval of Shop Drawings, Product Data or Samples under Subparagraph 2.2.7 of these General Conditions unless the Contractor has specifically informed the Architect and the State in writing of such deviation at the time of sub- mission and the Architect and the State has given written approval to the specific deviation. The Contractor shall not be relieved from responsibility for errors or omissions in the Shop Drawings, Product Data or Samples by the Architect's approval thereof.
4.12.7 The Contractor shall direct specific attention, in writing or on resubmitted Shop Drawings, Product Data or Samples, to revisions other than those requested by the Architect on previous submittals.
4.12.8 No portion of the Work requiring submission of a Shop Drawing, Product Data or Sample shall be commenced until the submittal has been approved by the Architect as provided in Subparagraph 2.2.7 of these General Conditions. All such portions of the Work shall be in accordance with approved submittals.
SHOP DRAWINGS, PRODUCT DATA AND SAMPLES. A. SUBMITTAL PROCESS The Contractor shall check and field verify all dimensions. The Contractor shall check, approve and submit to the Architect/Engineer in accordance with the schedule described in Article 12, Requests for Information and Schedules, all Shop Drawings, Product Data and Samples required by the specifications or required by the Contractor for the Work of the various trades. All Drawings and Product Data shall contain identifying nomenclature and each submittal shall be accompanied by a letter of transmittal identifying in detail all enclosures. The number of copies of Shop Drawings and Product Data to be submitted shall be as specified in the Specifications and if no number is specified then three copies shall be submitted. The Architect/Engineer shall review and comment on the Shop Drawings and Product Data within the time provided in the agreed upon schedule for conformance with information given and the design concept expressed in, or reasonably inferred from, the Contract Documents. The nature of all corrections to be made to the Shop Drawings and Product Data, if any, shall be clearly noted, and the submittals shall be returned to the Contractor for such corrections. If a change in the scope of the Work is intended by revisions requested to any Shop Drawings and Product Data, the Contractor shall be requested to prepare a change proposal in accordance with Article 35, Changes In The Work. On resubmitted Shop Drawings, Product Data or Samples, the Contractor shall direct specific attention in writing on the transmittal cover to revisions other than those corrections requested by the Architect/Engineer on any previously checked submittal. The Architect/Engineer shall promptly review and comment on, and return, the resubmitted items. The Contractor shall thereafter furnish such other copies in the form approved by the Architect/Engineer as may be needed for the prosecution of the Work.
SHOP DRAWINGS, PRODUCT DATA AND SAMPLES. Shop Drawings are drawings, diagrams, schedules and other data specially prepared for the Work by the Contractor or a Subcontractor. Sub-subcontractor, manufacturer, supplier or distributor to illustrate some portion of the Work. The Contractor shall review for compliance with the Contract Documents, approve and submit to the Architect, Shop Drawings, Product Data, Samples and similar submittals required by the Contract Documents in accordance with the submittal schedule approved by the Architect or in the absence of an approved submittal schedule, with reasonable promptness and in such sequence as to cause no delay in the Work or in the activities of the Owner or of separate contractors. The Contractor shall not be required to provide professional services that constitute the practice of architecture or engineering unless such services are specifically required by the Contract Documents for a portion of the Work or unless the Contractor needs to provide such services in order to carry out the Contractor’s responsibilities for construction means, methods, techniques sequences and procedures. The Contractor shall not be required to provide professional services in violation of applicable law. If professional design services or certifications by a design professional related to systems, materials or equipment are specifically required of the Contractor by the Contract Documents, the Owner and the Architect will specify all performance and design criteria that such services must satisfy. The Contactor shall cause such services or certifications to be provided by a properly licensed design professional, whose signature and seal shall appear on all drawings, calculations, specifications, certifications, Shop Drawings and other submittals prepared by such professional. Shop Drawings and other submittals related to the Work designed or certified by such professional, if prepared by others, shall be such professional’s written approval when submitted to the Architect or record. The Owner and the Architect shall be entitled to rely upon the adequacy, accuracy and completeness of the services, certifications and approvals performed or provided by such design professionals, provided the Owner and Architect have specified to the Contractor all performance and design criteria that such services must satisfy.
SHOP DRAWINGS, PRODUCT DATA AND SAMPLES. 12.12.1 Prior to the submission of the Contractor's First Application for Payment, or within thirty (30) days after execution date of Contract, whichever is sooner, the Contractor shall submit to the Owner all required shop drawings and samples.
12.12.2 The approval by the Owner, his representative, or any shop drawings, product data or other submittals by the Contractor shall not relieve Contractor of liability for any deviations from any contract requirements unless specifically called to the Owner's attention, in writing, and so acknowledged by the Owner in writing.

3.10.3 Samples are physical examples which illustrate materials, equipment or workmanship and establish standards by which the Work will be judged.
3.10.4 Shop Drawings, Product Data, Samples and similar submittals are not Project Documents. The purpose of their submittal is to demonstrate for those portions of the Work for which submittals are required the way the Design-Builder proposes to conform to the information given and the design concept expressed in the Contract Documents.
SHOP DRAWINGS, PRODUCT DATA AND SAMPLES. 7.10.1 Shop drawings, product data, samples and other submittals from the Contractor do not constitute Contract Documents. Their purpose is merely to demonstrate the manner in which the Contractor intends to implement the Work in conformance with information received from the Contract Documents.
7.10.2 The Contractor shall not perform any portion of the Work requiring submittal and review of shop drawings, product data or samples unless and until such submittal shall have been approved by the City. Approval by the City, however, shall not be evidence that Work installed pursuant thereto conforms with the requirements of this Contract.
SHOP DRAWINGS, PRODUCT DATA AND SAMPLES. 7.13.1 “Shop Drawings” are drawings, diagrams, schedules and other data specially prepared for the Work by Contractor, its Subcontractors or Vendors of any tier to illustrate how certain specific Work components fit together and will be located in relation to each other.
7.13.2 “Product Data” are illustrations, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams and other information furnished by Contractor, its Subcontractors or Vendor of any tier to illustrate materials or equipment to be utilized for a portion of the Work.
SHOP DRAWINGS, PRODUCT DATA AND SAMPLES. A. The Contractor shall furnish to the Designer all Samples of the materials to be used in the execution of the Work as required by the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall furnish to the Designer in a timely manner all coordination Drawings, shop details, Shop Drawings, and setting diagrams which may be necessary for acquiring and installing materials. These shall be reviewed as required by the Designer. Unless otherwise specified by the Awarding Authority, the Contractor shall provide a minimum of four (4) copies when submitting for final approval by the Designer, one of which shall be returned to the Contractor, one to the Resident Engineer, one to the Awarding Authority and one filed with the Designer. The inspection and approval by the Designer of Shop Drawings and setting diagrams shall be general and shall in no way relieve the Contractor from responsibility for proper fitting, coordinating, construction, and construction sequencing. The Contractor shall furnish to the Designer such information and vouchers relative to the Work, the materials therefor, and the persons employed thereon, as the Designer shall from time to time request.
B. Shop Drawings, Product Data, Samples, and similar submittals are not Contract Documents. The purpose of their submission is to demonstrate for those portions of the Work for which submittals are required the way the Contractor proposes to conform to the information given and the design concept expressed in the Contract Documents.
C. The Contractor shall review, approve, and submit to the Designer, Shop Drawings, Product Data, Samples and similar submittals required by the Contract Documents with reasonable promptness and in such sequence as to cause no delay in the Work or in the activities of the Awarding Authority or of separate contractors. Submittals made by the Contractor which are not required by the Contract Documents or which do not comply with the Contract Documents may be returned without action. The Contractor's attention is directed to the provisions of Section 4 of this Article V and to the Specifications.
D. The Contractor shall prepare and keep current for the Designer's approval a schedule of submittals which is coordinated with the Progress Schedule and allows the Designer reasonable time to review submittals.
