Detail Assignments. When a detail assignment continues for any portion of two (2) or more working days within a fifteen (15) day calendar period, the employee's salary shall be adjusted upward for the entire period of the detail assignment in such an amount as will reasonably reflect normal and assigned duties. Within five (5) working days after the completion of the salary order by Human Resources, the District shall provide the President of CSEA with written notification of detail assignments, the rate of pay of such assignments, and the effective date of the detail assignment with the end date not to exceed thirty (30) calendar days. If the current detail assignment will continue past thirty (30) calendar days, said detail assignment will be posted in accordance with Article 8.3.4 allowing sufficient time for a five (5) day posting period and selection process prior to the end of the thirty (30) calendar day limit. 8.3.1 If an employee assumes duties of a higher level position, the employee will be assigned detail pay for those duties which are outside of, or are inconsistent with, his/her normal assignment. Step placement on the higher salary range will be at the lower step which results in an increase of at least five percent (5%). If no step will result in a five percent (5%) increase, the employee will be placed on the highest step of the new range. 8.3.2 Said "detail assignment" shall not extend beyond 100 working days or for the term of a Leave of Absence (if said leave is the reason for a "detail assignment") after which said position shall be advertised.
Detail Assignments. The Bargaining Unit agrees that in a traditional State/County/ or Municipal government environment, police details are almost exclusively done through third-party vendors with very limited impact to department budgets. The University System of New Hampshire and its campuses are a business, with defined yearly budgetary constraints. The majority of police detail requests originate from campus, and police detail costs should not be a barrier to campus colleges, departments, groups, organizations, or programs from providing a safe campus event or program. Employees may work approved “special details” during off-duty hours in accordance with Division policy. 22.1 The University System of New Hampshire details are public third (3rd) party vendors using public funds or internal campus community public funds. 22.1.1 The Chief of Police, or their designee, determines if a campus request for departmental support requires a detail. 22.1.2 The Chief of Police, or their designee, determines if the department will participate in any off campus request for department detail support. 22.1.3 Campus detail requests, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and Main traffic overtime shifts, grant funded overtime shifts, and vacant patrol shifts must be filled prior to any Federal/State/County or Municipal police organization detail requests are filled. 22.1.4 The Chief of Police may declare any campus event a public safety or public health emergency requiring mandatory attendance. 22.2 Detail requests shall be posted for signup unless, one or more of the exceptions listed below exists. Bargaining unit members will be selected first before other sworn staff. 22.2.1 Once selected, the bargaining unit member must work the detail. 22.2.2 Detail post assignments, vehicle assignments, uniform or any other logistical need for the detail will be determined by the Chief of Police or their designee. 22.2.3 Bargaining unit members shall not give away their assigned detail to any sworn staff member without written permission of the Chief of Police or their designee. 22.2.4 Bargaining unit members must complete all reports, payroll entries, and required department forms prior to securing from the detail and leaving the building. 22.2.5 Being late or missing an assigned detail will result in forfeiture of detail selection for ten
Detail Assignments. The Chief or his designee on a rotating basis as presently in effect shall assign all details. The Chief based upon public safety needs shall determine the required number of detail officers and supervisors. Police officers retiring from the department in good standing may return as special police officers solely for the purpose of working special details. Community Service Officers (CSOs) are also available for the sole purpose of working special details. Special details will be offered to retired Middletown officers, special officers, and CSO’s in this order, only after regular officers have been afforded the opportunities granted them by the rotation system currently in effect for the assignment of details.

Detail Assignments a. Full Time Employees on the Detail and Scheduling Worksheet are called by the Chief of Police or his designated scheduling officer, beginning at the top of the schedule and following it down. b. When the detail is filled, the list will indicate the name of the next Full Time Employee to be called. The scheduling officer records on the list that those called, (A) accepted the detail, (R) refused the detail, or (N/A) were not available. c. If no Full Time Employees accept the detail, the scheduling officer will then refer to the Detail and Scheduling Worksheet for Part Time Employees, and proceed in the same manner as detailed above. d. Each time a new detail is available, Full Time Employees will be called first, beginning with the next name on the list. e. In the event that the scheduling officer is not on duty, the duty officer will make the detail assignment using the above procedure. f. Employees are prohibited from working private details while away on bereavement, workers compensation, illness, or disability.
Detail Assignments. Section 20-1. For the purpose of this Article, the following definitions shall apply:
Detail Assignments. The parties agree to abide by the standard operating procedure(s) set forth in the UNH Police Department Policy manual and applicable to Special Detail and Compensation. The parties further acknowledge that under Article 31, Management Rights and Article 29, Effect of Agreement, the University retains the authority and right to amend said standard operating procedure(s) from time to time, and agree to abide by the terms of said standard operating procedure(s) as in effect at the time of application.

  • Additional Assignments The Contractor further agrees to, and if applicable, cause each of its employees to, execute, acknowledge, and deliver all applications, specifications, oaths, assignments, and all other instruments which the City might reasonably deem necessary in order to apply for and obtain copyright protection, mask work registration, trademark registration and/or protection, letters patent, or any similar rights in any and all countries and in order to assign and convey to the City, its successors, assigns and nominees, the sole and exclusive right, title, and interest in and to the deliverables. The Contractor’s obligations to execute, acknowledge, and deliver (or cause to be executed, acknowledged, and delivered) instruments or papers such as those described in this Paragraph 38 a., b., and c. shall continue after the termination of this Contract with respect to such deliverables. In the event the City should not seek to obtain copyright protection, mask work registration or patent protection for any of the deliverables, but should desire to keep the same secret, the Contractor agrees to treat the same as Confidential Information under the terms of Paragraph 37 above.

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • Work Assignments Section 1. The Company shall determine whether to staff a position or fill a vacancy and the method or combination of methods it shall use for such purposes. In making this determination, the Company shall first give consideration to qualified internal candidates prior to off-street applicants. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in such a fashion as to be accessible by employees. The posting shall include the title, pay range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days. Section 2. In connection with Section 1. above, employees who have met a twelve (12) month time-in-title and location requirement shall be afforded the opportunity to submit to the Company a form on which they may identify their interest in being considered for vacancies which occur in the Bargaining Unit. Section 3. When a vacancy is to be filled from within the Bargaining Unit, Management will consider all qualified candidates who have forms on file relating to the vacancy in question. In selecting the employee to fill the position, the Company will first give due consideration to the candidates’ qualifications and past performance and where those factors are relatively equal, in the judgment of the Company, it shall consider seniority. Section 4. The Company agrees to provide the Union, in writing, the names and titles of all candidates selected under this Article, by the fifteenth (15th) calendar day after any such selection is made. Section 5. Nothing in this Agreement shall be applied or interpreted to restrict the Company in the exercise of its right to hire, promote or transfer; and, to the extent the needs of the business require, to have Bargaining Unit work performed by its supervisory personnel, or its right to make sales assignments without limitations.

  • Overtime Assignments 1. In classifications where employees are eligible for overtime pay, overtime work shall be offered to employees within the work location involved from the appropriate work group in continuing rotation on the basis of seniority. Each employee shall be selected in turn according to his/her place on the seniority list by rotation provided, however, the employee whose turn it is to work possesses the qualifications, training and ability to perform the specific work required. 2. An employee requesting to be skipped when it becomes his/her turn to work overtime shall not be rescheduled for overtime work until his/her name is reached again in orderly sequence and an appropriate notation shall be made on the overtime roster. 3. In the event no employee accepts required overtime work, the State shall assign employees within the work location involved from the appropriate work group to perform the overtime work by continuing rotation in inverse order of seniority. Employees who are unavailable, including employees who are on vacation, sick leave or other approved leaves of absence, and employees for whom the requirement of overtime work would cause undue hardship, shall be excused from a required overtime assignment. Employees so excused shall not lose their eligibility for overtime work within the then current rotation. 4. Work in progress, when appropriate, shall be completed by the employee performing the work at the time the determination is made that overtime is required except that an employee for whom the requirement of overtime work would cause undue hardship shall be excused from the overtime assignment.
