Institutional Commitments. A. A well supported working environment promotes effective and sustainable teaching, learning, service, and research. Therefore, within the limits of available resources and within the University's discretion, the University acknowledges its commitment to provide libraries, technology, classroom assignments, and faculty support responsive to the needs of students and faculty to meet the research mission and instructional/pedagogical needs of the departments, consistent with high quality research and teaching at a nationally recognized research university. B. When faculty are required to travel on approved University business, the University will reimburse for such travel. The University's Business and Financial Policies and Procedures provide complete guidelines for these reimbursements. Travel for University related business should be conducted as economically as possible. C. Faculty performing employment duties are provided legal coverage as set forth in and under the terms of the University of Illinois Liability Self-Insurance Plan, as that plan may be amended from time to time. D. Faculty may request health-related accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or otherwise by contacting the Office of Access and Equity to request such accommodations. E. The University will provide each bargaining unit position a new computer not to exceed $1,500 (plus the cost of a three-year extended warranty) to be chosen from a set of available and supported configurations from the campus office of Academic Computing and Communications Center (ACCC). This program for provision of new computers will extend through August 15, 2022, and computers will be replaced if an existing computer is more than four years old during the term of this Collective Bargaining Agreement. The University will provide hardware support during the time the computer is covered by warranty and is assigned to the original bargaining unit position. In accord with the State of Illinois and University procurement rules, the assigned computer remains property of the University and assigned to the department. Computer use is subject to the applicable Acceptable Usage Policy promulgated by ACCC, as such policy may be amended from time to time. Institutional Commitments a. Both parties may individually inform local K12 employers about the Job-Embedded Transfer Program and encourage K12 employers to commit to hiring graduates of the College who wish to enter the program. b. Both parties may individually inform potential students about the Job-Embedded Transfer Program. Examples of possible informational activities may include, but are not limited to, media announcements, brochures or fliers, information sessions for students at the College. c. Both parties may individually inform the College faculty and staff about the Job-Embedded Transfer Program and encourage them to notify prospective students about the program. d. Either party may make media and other public announcements about this Agreement and the Job- Embedded Transfer Program; provided, however, that prior to a party making any such announcement, that party will provide the other party reasonable advance notice and the opportunity to collaborate in the announcement.

Publicize the availability of the Dual Admission Program by distributing program literature; 2. Provide students with information about the Dual Admission requirements upon acceptance to the community college nursing program; Seek permission from students admitted into the community college nursing program to share dual admission application data with SCSU; 3. Counsel and/or advise CT-CCNP students interested in attending the B.S. in Nursing degree at Southern Connecticut State University. Identify prospective students interested in enrolling in the Dual Admission Program and share the information with Southern Connecticut State University; 4. Designate personnel to work with staff at Southern Connecticut State University to implement an effective communication plan to Dual Admission students; and 5. Work with Southern Connecticut State University faculty to coordinate information sessions for prospective Dual Admissions Students. B. The Responsibilities of Southern Connecticut State University are to: 1. Designate the Admissions Officer or Transfer and Articulation Officer that will serve as the point of contact for students interested in, and admitted to, the Dual Admission Program; 2. Develop a fee-waived application for the Dual Admission Program; 3. Designate the faculty advisor and other personnel to be the points of contact for the Dual Admission Program; 4. Provide at least (or at a minimum) one group advising session once per semester at each CT-CCNP that has identified dual admission students. 5. Provide the opportunity for students registered for twelve or more credits at the Community Colleges to take one free three credit course at Southern Connecticut State University. 6. Share enrollment and graduation information of enrolled Southern Connecticut State University RN-BSN students that are CT-CCNP graduates on a semester basis with the Connecticut Community College Nursing Program. C. The Joint Responsibilities of the Connecticut Community College Nursing Program and Southern Connecticut State University are to: 1. Conduct forums/workshops for counselors, admissions representatives, department chairs and other identified staff from both institutions to discuss expectations, review program requirements, develop promotional materials, and discuss curriculum and course equivalencies; and 2. Make available system to system informational/marketing materials for ...

The Responsibilities of the Connecticut Community College Nursing Program are to: 1) Publicize the availability of the Articulation Agreement. 2) Make Quinnipiac University application materials available to students interested in participating in this articulation agreement; 3) Counsel and/or advise CT-CCNP students interested in attending the Quinnipiac University part-time online RN to BSN degree completion program. 4) Identify prospective students interested in enrolling in the part-time online RN to BSN degree completion program and share the information with Quinnipiac University; 5) Designate personnel to work with staff at Quinnipiac University to implement an effective communication plan to interested students; and 6) Work with Quinnipiac University faculty to coordinate information sessions for prospective students. B. The Responsibilities of Quinnipiac University are to: 1) Designate the Director of QU Online Admissions as the point of contact for the articulation agreement and for students interested in, and admitted to, the part- time online RN to BSN degree completion program; 2) Designate a nursing faculty advisor as the point of contact for students registered and taking classes in the part-time online RN-BSN degree completion program. 3) Develop a fee-waived application code for CT-CCNP students interested in the part-time RN to BSN program; 4) Ensure that the QU Online Admissions staff provides planned information sessions at each of the six participating community colleges. 5) Work with CT-CCNP personnel to coordinate information sessions for prospective students. 6) With student permission, share the enrolled and graduated Quinnipiac University RN-BSN students’ names that are CT-CCNP graduates, on a semester basis with the Connecticut Community College Nursing Program. C. Designate personnel to work with staff at Sacred Heart University to implement an effective communication plan to interested students; and 5. Work with Sacred Heart University faculty to coordinate information sessions for prospective students. B. The Responsibilities of Sacred Heart University are to: Rev. 8/15 SAW 1. Designate the Admissions Officer or Transfer and Articulation Officer that will serve as the point of contact for students interested in, and admitted to, the RN to BSN Program at Sacred Heart University; 2. Develop a fee-waived application for CT-CCNP students interested in the RN to BSN program ; 3. Designate the faculty advisor and other personnel to be the points of contact for the pathway agreement; 4. Ensure that the Sacred Heart University faculty advisor and staff provide planned advisement sessions at each of the six participating community colleges; and 5. Work with CT-CCNP personnel to coordinate information sessions for prospective students. 6. Pending student approval, share enrollment and graduation information of enrolled Sacred Heart University RN-BSN students that are CT-CCNP graduates on a semester basis with the Connecticut Community College Nursing Program.
