STEWARDS AND REPRESENTATIVES. A. The Authority agrees that during working hours, on its premises for reasonable periods of time, and without loss of pay, Union Stewards and properly designated representatives of the Union shall be allowed to: Investigate and process grievances Post Union notices Distribute Union literature Solicit Union membership during other employee’s non working time Attend negotiating meetings Transmit communications, authorized by the Local Union or its officers, or other Union representatives concerning the enforcement of any provisions of this Agreement Accredited Union representatives shall notify the person in charge of their department or his designee, whenever they wish to attend to Union business on Authority time. This Union representative must notify his/her supervisor not less than forty eight (48) hours prior to the time that they wish to attend to Union business, except when an emergency arises, in which case the person will simply notify his/her supervisor. The Authority may deny request for union activity leave if exigent circumstances exist. Approval of union leave time shall not be unreasonably withheld. B. Union representatives as referred to in this section shall consist of one ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ for each project, the Local Union President, Secretary Treasurer, Executive Board Chairman and Business Representative. C. The Chapter Chair or ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ may be transferred from one location to another or assigned one shift to another on the basis of operational needs within the departments of the Housing Authority and shall not be the direct result of union activities. If there is a dispute and the Chapter Chair or ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ alleges the transfer is a direct result of retaliation, the transfer will be held pending resolution through the grievance procedure. This shall not prevent a transfer from one shift to another or one location to another when such transfer is at the Chapter Chair or ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ own request. D. The names of employees selected as Stewards, and the names of other Union representatives who may represent employees shall be certified, in writing, to the Authority by the Local Union.
STEWARDS AND REPRESENTATIVES. Employees officially selected by the Union to act as union representatives shall be known as "stewards." The names of the employees selected as stewards and the names of union representatives shall be certified in writing to the City by the Union. Activities of stewards, except for the investigation or processing of a grievance, shall not unnecessarily interfere with their own or other employees' regular work assignments. Contacts between stewards and employees of the Union, except as provided herein, shall normally be made outside of regular working hours. Reasonable advance notice shall be given to the supervisor when a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ desires to be away from his/her duty assignment.
STEWARDS AND REPRESENTATIVES. A. The employees covered by this Agreement will be represented by stewards, one of which will be designated as the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. A written list of stewards and alternates will be submitted to the City, annually by October 1st of each year. For the purpose of this agreement and unless otherwise addressed in this agreement, the use of the word ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall also refer to the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. B. The City recognizes and shall work with the appropriate Union stewards and representatives of AFSCME Florida Council 79 in matters relating to grievances and interpretation of this contract, including promoting harmonious working relationships. The Local Union President (or designee) or the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ may be permitted to assist other Stewards in matter of complexity or when a new ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ is in the training process with the local Union. C. Union stewards shall be active employees as designated by AFSCME Florida Council 79 and shall be members of the bargaining unit. D. Union Representatives and stewards are subject to the same rules of the City of Miami Gardens and its Independent Agencies as are all other public employees, except as specifically outlined in this Agreement. E. While on leave of absence, no employee shall function as a Union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ without mutual consent of the Union and the City. F. A written list of Union stewards and officers shall be furnished to the City prior to the effective date for their assuming duties of office. There shall be a maximum of two (2) stewards and one (1)
STEWARDS AND REPRESENTATIVES. 17.1 The Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer or his/her local designee may appoint a Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ in all recognized shops and on all jobs where more than ten (10) employees are required. The ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ is to receive grievances or disputes from employee members of his/her craft and shall immediately report them to his/her Business Representative, who shall immediately attempt to adjudicate the grievance or dispute with the Employer or their representative.
STEWARDS AND REPRESENTATIVES. 19.1 Each Union shall have the right to designate a working craft employee as ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ for each Contractor employing such craft on the Project. Such designated ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall be a qualified ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ assigned to a crew and shall perform the work of the craft. The ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall not perform supervisory duties. Under no circumstances shall there be nonworking stewards. Stewards shall be permitted a reasonable amount of time during working hours to perform applicable Union duties related to the work being performed by the craft employees of his Contractor and not to the work being performed by other Contractors or their employees. 19.2 Representatives of the Unions shall have access to the Project site, provided they do not interfere with the work and provided that they comply with visitor security and safety rules, including checking in with the Contractor’s and Department’s on-site representatives prior to entering the Project site. The Contractor recognizes the right of access set forth in this subsection and such access will not be unreasonably withheld from an authorized representative of the Union.

The parties agree that the term “▇▇▇▇▇▇▇” is equivalent to “designated representative” as provided by PECBA. The names of the employees selected as stewards, and the names of local Union representatives, state council, or international representatives who may represent employees shall be certified in writing to the County by the Union. Union stewards may represent employees and engage in the activities described in ORS 243.798 with the following limitations: Union Stewards shall not interfere with other employees' regular work assignments, and, in some circumstances, due to working operations and/or other limitations on persons in a particular workplace, Stewards may be asked to provide notice and permission to enter particular work locations. Stewards will be granted up to 96 hours in total of all stewards per year to engage in the activities described in ORS 243.798 under paid time, not including successor contract negotiations as provided in section 2.9 below. Stewards are obligated to track their time with normal payroll process. Upon exhausting 96 hours per year, Stewards will need to use off duty time. Reasonable advance notice shall be given to the supervisor when a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ desires to be away from his duty assignment. This section does not preclude mutual agreement between Human Resources and Union President, or designee, to provide additional time for stewards to gather information related to grievance handling and/or seek informal resolution to issues of concerns regarding the collective bargaining agreement on a case by case basis.

STEWARDS AND REPRESENTATIVES. The Company will recognize ten (10) Stewards, the Safety, Compensation and Pension Committees. In the event that a third shift is established, an adequate number of Stewards will be appointed. The Grievance Committee shall be composed of a panel of five (5)employees including the Union President or his representative, the Grievance Committee Chairman, and the Recording Secretary. Up to four (4) of the panel of five (5) may attend grievance meetings. The Stewards and members of the Grievance Committee shall have been placed on the Seniority List according to their rightfulestablished seniority. The Union shall notify the Company in writing of the names of its Officers and Stewards. It is understood that a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ has his work to perform on behalf of the Company and that will not leave his work without obtaining permission from his ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. It is agreed that the processing of grievances with Managementas provided for in Paragraphs and shall be during regularly scheduled working hours without loss of pay to the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ concerned and the Grievance Committee. Meetings will be held betweenthe hours of and Where practical, the preparation of written grievances will be confined to the last half hour of the day shift. member or members of the Grievance Committee only after receiving approval from the Manager of Plant Personnel or his representative. At the request of either party such Union representative may attend Step meetings. It is agreed that the Negotiating will not exceed five (5) employees. It is agreed that none of the Bargaining Unit employees shall have or exercise any authority in the direction of the work force or in the assignment of manpower to any job unless as defined in their job description.
