Technology Use. All persons are prohibited from using Life School technology in violation of any law including copyright law. Only appropriately licensed programs or software may be used with Life School technology resources. No person shall use Life School’s technology resources to post, publicize, or duplicate information in violation of copyright law. The Board shall direct the Superintendent or designee to employ all reasonable measures to prevent the use of Life School technology resources in violation of the law. All persons using Life School technology resources in violation of law shall lose user privileges in addition to other sanctions, up to and including termination of employment.
Technology Use. All students at TERRA must use technology such as cell phones, computers and other personal electronic devices strictly for educational purposes abstaining from accessing and manipulating inappropriate content. Any TERRA student who engages in social media must display integrity, citizenship, fairness and respect at all times. Any student found to violate the above policies will be immediately withdrawn from TERRA and asked to return to their home school. Inherent in this code is the responsibility of an individual to come forth and report any form of violation of the TERRA Magnet Contract. Absences will initially be recorded as “unexcused” and will be changed, if appropriate, upon receipt of acceptable reason for absence. Absences are classified as follows: ❖ Student Illness: o 1-4 days: Parents/Guardian must provide a written notice to attendance office as to why the student was absent within three days upon the student’s return to school.
Technology Use. If the assignment cannot be printed, it may be emailed to the Head of Department by 3.00pm on the due date. If computer failure prevents the submission of an assignment, the student must notify the subject teacher immediately. The student must complete a 'Request for Extension' (Years, 7, 8,9,10 and 12 only) form with the teacher and provide evidence of the auditing of student progress to the Head of Department. The student must:  submit draft copies to the class teacher by 3.00 p.m. on the due date  submit a 'Request for extension' form to Head of Department  negotiate a new submission date with the Head of Department  if computer problems continue to exist, a hand-written version should be submitted by the new submission date.
Technology Use. All students in Aberdeen will be granted permission to use the internet for school purposes only, after turning in a parent/guardian signed Acceptable Use Policy Form. There are specific rules you must follow to keep internet access. You will be assigned a user account of which only you should have access to; DO NOT GIVE YOUR PASSWORD OR DEVICE TO OTHERS! Any actions to bypass filters, safety mechanisms or inappropriate use of the device or other violations of the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), will result in loss of privilege. Our district uses a program called GAGGLE to monitor use on district devices AND any activity on any device if the student is logged in to their district account.
Technology Use. 1. Unit members shall receive adequate and relevant training in any technology that is required by the District. The District shall provide a release time option for all required technology trainings. 2. Use of technology in the classroom shall not be required in an arbitrary and capricious manner. 3. Unit members shall not be required to utilize any technology in the classroom that is not in good repair and capable to perform the required function(s). Unit members shall notify the school site or Technology Department of the need for repairs in a timely manner. 4. The unit member shall have access to necessary technology in order to complete required on-line assessments with the whole class in a timely manner. The District shall accommodate the release of all students that were absent on the day of local testing to allow make-up testing to be planned and completed with mutual collaboration between the teacher and administrator.

Bargaining unit members shall take reasonable efforts to monitor student internet usage in class to assure students are adhering to the usage agreement signed by parents and students. B. Each staff member will sign a network privacy agreement/acceptable use policy prior to use of school technology. C. The Administration will monitor e-mail/use of internet only for cause.

Technology Use. Upon request, a paraprofessional may be issued a Chromebook to assist with their classroom duties. It is understood that this device is to stay at school.
