ROLE STATEMENT. The Grade 1 Physiotherapist will be involved in rotations across Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Craigieburn Centre and Bundoora Centre. There are a total of 23 rotations across Northern Health’s site offering acute, subacute and community/outpatient rotations (centre based & home based therapy). This role may be included in a four month rotation in which one of the five working days is rostered on the weekend. It may also involve doing home visits and servicing Northern Health clients at Kilmore District Hospital or Aged Care Facilities (partner organization). Working together with their supervisors and senior staff, the Grade 1 Physiotherapist will provide quality client care through the application of competent clinical skills in assessment, planning, implementation of treatment and management for clients in their designated work area. The Grade 1 will be involved in service improvement within the physiotherapy department through participating in projects to develop the service further. The role will require staff to be flexible with their working hours to meet the changing operational demands and can include working after hours, on weekends and public holidays. The Grade 4 Physiotherapist (Women’s Health Clinic) is a peer-recognised clinical expert responsible for the leadership of high-quality evidence-based physiotherapy practice within the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy service at Northern Health. Reporting to the EMR Training Manager, this role will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of high quality and comprehensive training for clinical and certain non-clinical staff at Northern Health.
