SHIFT AND WEEKEND DIFFERENTIAL. 1. These provisions shall not apply to employees in Overtime Categories 13 and 18.
2. Effective the first full payroll period in July 2001, Shift Differential rates shall be: 2nd $0.62 3rd $0.67 Effective the first full payroll period in July 2002, Shift Differential rates shall be: 2nd $0.67 3rd $0.72
3. Employees shall receive a second shift differential if they work at least two (2) hours of an assigned shift which contains at least two (2) hours between 6 pm and midnight, and third shift differential if, between midnight and 6 am. Classified employees who are regularly assigned to a shift which does not qualify them to receive shift differential shall not be eligible to receive shift differential if they are required to work overtime on a shift which might otherwise qualify the employees for shift differential pay. Such employees shall receive overtime compensation at the appropriate overtime rates for such work.
4. Shift differential will be added to the basic hourly rate before cash overtime is computed.
5. A ―weekend shift‖ includes any regularly assigned shifts beginning on or after 10 pm Friday night and excludes any other shift beginning on or after 10 pm Sunday night.
6. Employees who actually work on a weekend shift, pursuant to regular assignment, including employees who do not self-activate or self-schedule, shall effective the first full pay period in July 2001, receive a weekend differential of thirty-five cents ($0.35) per hour on any weekend shift. Effective the first full pay period in July 2002, the weekend differential rate will increase to forty cents ($0.40) per hour. Employees not regularly assigned to a weekend shift but work overtime then, shall not receive weekend differential. Weekend differential will be added to any other shift differential and to the basic hourly rate before cash overtime is computed.
7. Any employee regularly assigned as an FSU Supervisor who actually works on a weekend shift, pursuant to regular assignment, shall receive such weekend differential provided they do not self- activate or self-schedule such regular assignment.
SHIFT AND WEEKEND DIFFERENTIAL. The existing rules, regulations and rates for night shift differential will continue in force except as follows:

Shift differential will be paid at night shift premium at the following rates: $1.57 per hour without first aid $1.66 per hour with first aid $1.83 per hour for Team Leaders This hourly differential shall increase at the same percentage as any general wage increase. Weekend differential of fifteen percent (15%) per shift. All differential paid out at end of the following month.
SHIFT AND WEEKEND DIFFERENTIAL. 1. An employee to be eligible for shift or weekend differential, shall be required to work not less than 4 hours of his/her regular workday in either the second or third shift, and when the employee satisfies this requirement the shift differential shall be paid for out of the hours of his/her regular workday.
2. Shifts eligible for shift differential are as follows: 2nd shift 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. 3rd shift 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a. m.
3. Shift and weekend differentials are as follows: 2nd shift $0.40 per hour 3rd shift $0.45 per hour Saturdays $0.50 per hour Sundays & Holidays $0.60 per hour
4. An employee performing work compensated under the OVERTIME Article of this Agreement shall not receive shift or weekend differential pay for the same hours regardless of the period worked.
5. Shift and weekend differentials will be paid for regular assignments except for the fact that the employee was on vacation, 09 days, holiday, sick leave or funeral leave.
SHIFT AND WEEKEND DIFFERENTIAL. Section 45.1 Additional compensation for shift differential shall be paid by the City in accordance with the following:
SHIFT AND WEEKEND DIFFERENTIAL. 21.1. An employee who works at least four (4) hours of his/her regularly scheduled eight- hour shift within the second or third shift as defined in subsection 21.a. or 21.b., below, shall be paid, in addition to his/her base salary, the following shift differential premium for all the hours worked during that shift:
a. Second Shift 3:00 p. m. to 11:00 p. m. $0.40 per hour.
b. Third Shift ----- 11:00 p. m. to 7:00 a. m. $0.45 per hour.
21.2. Shift premium in the above amounts shall be paid for all hours for which an employee would have received a regular shift assignment but for the fact that the employee was on vacation, holiday, sick leave or funeral leave.
21.3. Weekend differential for regularly scheduled Saturday work paid to an employee shall be in the amount of $0.50 per hour and the weekend differential for regularly scheduled Sunday work and holidays paid to an employee shall be in the amount of $0.60 per hour.
21.4. An employee performing work under the OVERTIME provision of this Agreement shall not receive shift or weekend differential pay for the same hours regardless of the period worked.
SHIFT AND WEEKEND DIFFERENTIAL. (a) Eligibility for shift differential payments is tied to the shift, not the employees’ work schedule. Eligible employees, as specified below, who work a shift where the majority of hours falls after 2:00 p.m. and before 6:00
a. m. shall be entitled to a shift differential. Payment shall be made for all hours worked during the eligible shift. Employees who are regularly assigned to shifts beginning on or after 2:00 p.m. shall be entitled to night shift differential payments. Payment shall be made whether employee works a regular shift or an overtime shift, provided the shift meets the eligibility criteria. Payment will be made for all hours worked during the eligible shift. Shift differential shall not be paid for work which is not part of an established shift, e.g. overtime work which falls between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. or which extends the employee’s work day more than ten
SHIFT AND WEEKEND DIFFERENTIAL. Effective upon the ratification of the 2018 contract, employees who work afternoons, 6:00 P.M. – 11:00 P.M shall receive a $0.50 per hour shift differential in addition to their regular pay. Employees who work weekend shifts (excluding overnight shifts) 6:00 A.M. Saturday – 11:00 P.M. Sunday, will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential in addition to their regular pay. Employees who work overnight shifts, 11:00 P.M. – 6:00 A.M., shall receive a $1.50 differential in addition to their regular rate of pay.
SHIFT AND WEEKEND DIFFERENTIAL. Section 45.1 Employees shall receive additional compensation for shift differential in accordance with the following:
1. Employees of the Water Supply Division and the Water Pollution Control Division whoworksecondandthird shifts shall receive, in addition to other compensation, the sum of $0.75 per hour for each hour worked on second shift or third shift.
2. Within the Public Works Division, the Street Sweeper Operator shall receive in addition to other compensation, the sum of $0.50 per hour for each hour worked between 11pm and 7 am
3. Within the Public Works Division, the employee that works as custodian in the Police Division shall receive in addition to other compensation, the sum of $0.50 per hour for each hour worked outside the established workday for Public Works Division personnel, which is 7 am to 3:30 pm
SHIFT AND WEEKEND DIFFERENTIAL. 19.1. An employee whose normal hours of work fall, in whole or in part, during either the time period beginning at 3:00 p.m. and ending at 11:00 p.m. (second shift) or the time period beginning at 11:00 p.m. and ending at 7:00 a. m. (third shift) shall be entitled to receive, in addition to base salary, the following "shift differential":
a. Second Shift $0.40 per hour.
b. Third Shift $0.45 per hour. In order for an employee to be eligible for 2nd or 3rd shift premium rates, the employee shall be required to work not less than 4 hours of the regular workday in either the 2nd or 3rd shift, and when such employee satisfies that requirement, the employee' s entire workday shall be compensated for at the shift differential compensation as set forth in this subsection.
19.2. Shift premium in the above amounts shall be paid for all hours for which an employee would have received a regular shift assignment but for the fact that the employee was on vacation, 09 day, holiday, sick leave or funeral leave.
19.3. Weekend differential for regularly scheduled Saturday work paid to an employee shall be in the amount of $0.50 per hour and the weekend differential for regularly scheduled Sunday work and holidays paid to an employee shall be in the amount of $0.60 per hour.
19.4. An employee performing work under the Overtime article of this Agreement shall not receive shift or weekend differential pay for the same hours regardless of the period worked.
