Shift Roster. All shift arrangements and structures will be reviewed with the aim of improving operational efficiency or product quality on an ongoing basis through the Business Improvement Team with the view to identify and implement new structures that are equitable to both the company and employees. All employees have a commitment to maintain the drying ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ at the required level to ensure that the weeks normal production requirements are met.
Shift Roster. Shifts shall be rostered so as to provide for weekly change of shifts unless otherwise agreed. Bega Cheese shall be entitled to fix the shifts rostered and alter them by mutual consent or by giving one week's notice. Any employee who works a rotating shift in accordance with the terms of this agreement shall receive an allowance as set out in Appendix 1(b) Allowances for all shifts worked.
Shift Roster. Employees will work in accordance with the Shift Roster. The Roster will be arrived at by consultation between the Employer and Employees. Notification of shift changes will be given at least seven (7) days prior to any changes being implemented. This does not preclude: o the Employer requesting an Employee to provide ‘cover’ for another Employee in the case of an emergency; o an Employee seeking to change their rostered shift either temporarily or permanently. In the latter case, whilst the Employer undertakes to strive to accommodate Employee’s requests, decisions will be made on the basis of operational requirements.
Shift Roster. The current shift roster is based on 38 hours per week with an agreed rostered component of overtime. The shift times are currently 6am - 6pm and 6pm - 6am. It is agreed that shift allowances will be increased in this Agreement as follows. This to ensure that Electrical Maintenance employees are at the same shift allowances for the duration of this agreement. Shift Allowance for employees working 12hr rotating day/night shift system, Monday to Friday will be as follows:
Shift Roster. Partial Block
(a) Where an Employee is engaged on an afternoon or night shift for less than 5 consecutive shifts, Employees shall be paid double the ordinary rate of pay for all hours worked. For the avoidance of doubt, such time shall still count as ordinary hours worked where appropriate.
(b) If a PSS/Despatch worker is required to work for a portion shift block their rest period will be managed by the Employee and the Team Leader, dependent on consecutive days worked for example, if the day worker works: ● 5 normal day shifts then cover shift over the weekend they will be entitled to a rest day and then return to work the following day. ● 5 normal day shifts then cover shift over the weekend on night shift, they will have the day ending night shift and the following off due rest before returning to day work. ● Monday and Tuesday and covers shift on days Wednesday and Thursday, they will return to work on Friday.
Shift Roster. Entire Block
(a) Where an Employee is engaged on an afternoon or night shift for not less than 5 afternoons or nights, a fifteen per cent all-purpose loading shall be paid in addition to the normal rates of pay. This extra rate shall not apply to shift work performed on Saturdays and/or Sundays where weekend penalty rates apply.
(b) If a PSS/Despatch worker is required to work for an entire shift block, then that person will have the day ending night shift and the following off for paid due rest before returning to day work.
Shift Roster. (a) A shift roster will:
(i) provide for rotation, unless all the employees desire otherwise and agreed to by the CEO;
(ii) provide that not more than 8 shifts are worked in any 9 consecutive days; and
(iii) not be changed until after 4 weeks’ notice. Provided that, an employee’s place on each roster will not be changed except by one week’s notice of such change (or less than one week by agreement), or payment of penalty rates.
(b) An employee who presents for work in accordance with the shift roster will work the hours prescribed by the roster.
(c) A shift worker asked to work outside his or her rostered shift hours will be paid at the rate of double time, except where the arrangements have been made between employees themselves or in the case of rotation of a shift or when a relief employee does not commence work at the scheduled time.
Shift Roster. An Employee shall be considered to be on "day roster" when required to commence work anytime from 6.00 am to 12.00 midday, and on "shift roster" when required to commence work before 6.00 am or after 12.00 midday. An Employee shall be considered to be on "overnight roster" when required to commence work anytime from 8.00 pm to prior to 6.00 am if outside a normal rostered shift (for example 2.00pm to 10.00pm). The hours worked on "overnight roster" shall be paid for at the rate of double time for the first 8 hours and at the rate of triple time thereafter until relieved from the job by the Job Supervisor. No other payment for overtime shall apply. For all Employees, including casuals the overnight rate shall be applied to an hourly rate equal to one 40th of the applicable weekly rate, not counting allowances, prescribed in Clause 3.1. The only exception to the payment of the overnight roster penalties described above is where the employee is required for a 4am start as part of a scheduled Site Job Request (SJR). The hours between 4am and 6am will be paid at the rate of time and a half. Time worked between 6am and 2pm will be paid at the normal hourly rate. Technicians may choose to complete only and 8 hour shift, from start time to 6am will attract time and a half and the remainder will be paid at normal hourly rate. Adequate pre-work scheduling by Supervisors will be required to validate work allocation and overtime periods. I.e. Any Ad-hoc work to commence before 6am requires both justification and approval by Senior Supervisor. Acceptable administration of this will be reviewed by Odyssey management. An Employee shall not be required to work the next "day roster" immediately after working an overnight roster". The Employer shall not be required to pay an Employee for the next day's rostered work if the Employee does not attend and is resting following an "overnight roster". Wherever possible, the Employer shall provide 48 hours written notice to an Employee of a change in roster for that Employee. The workplace consultative committee shall be responsible for reviewing the roster arrangements from time to time to ensure that all Employees are treated fairly.
Shift Roster. I. Weekly shift roster will be in consecutive days as for other Departments.
II. Days can be over the full 7x24 hours days as for other Departments.
III. Shifts per day shall be no longer than 12 hours every 24 hour period (excluding on-call and overtime).
IV. Total normal roster hours will not exceed 48 hours per roster.
V. Penalty rates and allowances apply to roster hours if outside normal hours (eg. Over 7.6 hours, weekend work, nightshift).
Shift Roster. The roster shall comply with this Agreement and be acceptable to the parties. The 12-hour roster must provide for the following: No more than four consecutive shifts in a row; No more than three consecutive night shifts No more than three consecutive day shifts There shall be no extension of work beyond 12 hours (i.e. no overtime following a 12 hour shift); Day shifts shall not commence before 0700 hours; There shall be a reasonable distribution of days off between block shifts; Shifts shall not be compacted to produce long breaks; The roster cycle shall be planned over a period of two weeks; Comply with the Daylight Saving Clause of the Agreement
