The UNION/MANAGEMENT COMMITTEES clause establishes a formal body composed of representatives from both the union and management to facilitate ongoing communication and address workplace issues collaboratively. Union Management Committees. 18.03.01 It is recognized that meetings between the Company and the Union are essential to the maintenance of good employee-employer relations and the establishment of mutual confidence and trust. 18.03.02 Union-Management committees will be established to promote better communications, mutual respect and understanding between the Company and its employees and to provide advance discussion of significant changes affecting the work or working conditions of employees. 18.03.03 Meetings shall be held as required between the District Chair or his designated representative and the appropriate Company representative. The National Representatives will be permitted to attend. 18.03.04 At Union-Management Headquarters level, meetings will normally be held once every four (4) months between Union Headquarters representatives and representatives of the Corporate Management level. Such meetings shall generally be of one (1) day's duration. 18.03.05 The dates of such meetings will be established by mutual agreement and minutes of such meetings will be prepared and made available to all concerned following approval of both parties. 18.03.06 The meetings of Union-Management Committees shall not be considered as being in lieu of the Grievance procedures.
Union Management Committees. There shall be established a Union/Management committee composed of members equal in number. This committee may call upon additional persons for technical information or advice. The Committee shall meet at the call of either party at a mutually agreeable time and place. Employees shall not suffer any loss of basic pay for time spent on this committee. The Committee shall not have the power to bind either the Union or its members or the Employer to any decisions or conclusions reached in their discussions. (b) The committees shall meet at the call of either party at a mutually agreeable time and place and at a minimum quarterly. Employees shall not suffer any loss of pay for the time spent attending meetings of the committees during regular working hours. Every effort will be made to schedule meetings within regular hours. In the event meetings cannot be scheduled within regular hours, it is understood that no overtime pay will apply to hours spent in union/management committee meetings. (c) An employee representative and a union representative shall alternate in presiding over the meetings. (d) The committees shall not have jurisdiction over any matter of collective bargaining including the administration of this agreement. The committees shall not have the power to bind the Union, its members, or the Employer to any decisions reached in the committees' discussions. (e) The committees shall have the power to make recommendations to the parties on the following: (1) reviewing matters, other than grievances, relating to the maintenance of good relations between the parties; (2) correcting conditions causing misunderstandings; (3) dealing with matters referred to it in this agreement. (f) Minutes of the committees' meetings, approved by the union and employer co-chairs, shall be transcribed by the Alternating Chair and distributed to committee members and union office.

Union Management Committees. The Employer will recognize the following Committees of Employees for the respective purposes shown: a) The Bargaining Committee consisting of not more than six (6) representatives of the Union for the purpose of negotiating this Agreement and its renewal; b) The Employee Relations Committee consisting of five (5) representatives of the Union and up to five (5) representatives of the Employer to meet bi–monthly or by mutual arrangement for the purpose of discussing any matters of mutual interest; c) The Grievance Committee consisting of three (3) representatives of the Union and three (3) representatives of the Employer. The Union representatives shall comprise the President, or designated alternate, the Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, or designated alternate and the appropriate Area ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.
Union Management Committees. 3.10.1 Whenever a District wide committee, task force, hot team, and/or any other factfinding or fact gathering group invites participation of bargaining unit members, the Union shall be contacted in advance of the committees formation and shall be allowed a reasonable period of time, not to exceed ten (10) working days, to appoint bargaining unit members of its choosing to the committee. If the Union fails to appoint bargaining unit members of its choosing within a reasonable period of time, not to exceed (10) working days, the District shall be allowed to seek voluntary bargaining unit members of its choosing. Unless otherwise mutually agreed to between the parties, a bargaining unit member shall not serve on more than two (2) committees, task forces, hot teams, etc., at any one time.
Union Management Committees. A joint Union/Management Committee comprised of the Chief Administrative Officer, Director of Human Resources, the President, Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, Recording Secretary and the Staff Representative shall be established. The Committee will meet at least once every quarter. The purpose of this Committee shall be to exchange views on matters which affect employees. This Committee shall not deal with issues properly raised under negotiations, the grievance procedure or Safety Committees unless mutually agreed. Union Management Committees. (a) A union-management committee consisting of eight (8) individuals, four (4) representatives appointed by Local 241 and Local 308 in total and four (4) representatives appointed by the Authority, with full right of substitution, will meet and confer on issues of mutual concern, including but not limited to innovative work practices, such as self-directed work units, safety and security issues, child care facilities, providing insurance to cover the cost of replacing lost or theft of radios, transfer cards and refund cards and establishing a service award program and pilot programs. The committee may also discuss matters of mutual concern except for grievances and negotiating changes to this Agreement. (b) Local 241 and Local 308 may place a representative on the committee which administers the Authority's Welfare Fund. Said representatives shall have input but no right to vote on any decision. (c) The Authority and Local 241 agree to establish a joint union-management committee to study the feasibility of establishing a procedure to categorize and review safety rule violations into a chargeable/non-chargeable system for violations related to personal injury within the bus maintenance areas.
