Assignments and Job Postings. (Applicable to Permanent Full-time, Permanent Part-time, Seasonal: applicabil- ity limited by Appendix 4Section 3, Casual: applicability limited by the provi- sions of 32.4) 22.1 Employees shall progress through the steps of the salary ranges of their classification in accordance with the procedures of the Employer, as established from time to time, on the basis of satisfactory written recommendations and subject to the approval of the Employer. The Employer agrees to permit employees to examine the said written recommendations upon their completion by the Supervisor or Department Head and will provide a copy of the Assessment Report if so requested. 22.2 An employee promoted to a higher classification set out in any approved classification schedule shall be entitled to a salary increase of at least one (1) step or an increase to the minimum of the range attached to the higher classification whichever is greater and such increases will be effective upon the effective date of promotion. This does not apply to casual CSR employees who have been promoted to a permanent full-time CSR position on the single wage grid. 22.3 Where the classification of a store is changed all promotions resulting there from, within the bargaining unit, shall be posted and filled in accordance with the provisions of Article 22. (a) (i) If a new job classification within the bargaining unit is created, or a permanent vacancy occurs in an existing job classification, before inviting applications from persons not employed by the Employer, or employees who are outside of the bargaining unit, the Employer will post within the geographic area as specified, notice of such new job or vacancy for a period of ten (10) working days during which employees within such area may apply. The notice shall stipulate qualifications, classification, salary range, department and location concerned.

Assignments and Job Postings. 9.1 Employees hired before the ratification of this Agreement shall work the hours and in the classifications they worked when the Agreement is ratified. Employees hired after the date of this Agreement shall work the hours and in the classifications for which they were hired. Changes in employees’ hours and/or classifications shall occur in accordance with the terms of this Agreement, including Articles 8, Seniority, 9, Assignments and Job Postings and 10, Hours and Overtime. This language shall not prevent RNAs and CMAs being assigned to CNA work on a temporary basis. 9.2 When a vacancy in a bargaining unit job occurs, the following principles shall apply in the following order: 1. All vacancies and new positions in the bargaining unit shall be posted for a period of seven (7) calendar days. Postings shall include job classification, shift, and rate of pay. 2. Before considering applications from employees outside the bargaining unit, the Employer shall consider applications from bargaining unit employees. 3. The Employer will offer the vacancy to the bargaining unit applicant with the most seniority, provided that applicant is qualified for the position. If that employee decides not to accept the position, then the vacancy will be offered to the next most senior applicant, and so forth, until the pool of bargaining unit applicants is exhausted or the vacancy is filled. 4. If an applicant already works in the job classification in which the vacancy exists, he or she will be deemed qualified for the vacant position. If an applicant works in a different job classification, he or she must possess the ability to perform the functions of the new position with no more than the basic orientation provided to newly-hired employees in the new job category. Employees transferring from one classification to another will undergo a thirty (30) day probationary period. If they do not pass this probation, they will return to the position they held prior to the transfer. 9.3 Employees will not be involuntarily transferred from one shift to another shift, except where necessary in situations involving layoff or department reorganization. In such situations, where transfer to another shift is required, the Employer will transfer the least senior employee, provided that such transfer is consistent with resident needs. In addition, this Section shall not preclude the Employer from offering work on another shift to employees who have been low censused on a different shift. No...

  • Assignments and Transfers 19.1 Any assignment by either Party to any entity of any right, obligation or duty, or of any other interest hereunder, in whole or in part, without the prior written consent of the other Party shall be void. The assignee must provide evidence of a Commission approved certification to provide Telecommunications Service in each state that Syniverse is entitled to provide Telecommunications Service. After AT&T’s consent, the Parties shall amend this Agreement to reflect such assignments and shall work cooperatively to implement any changes required due to such assignment. All obligations and duties of any Party under this Agreement shall be binding on all successors in interest and assigns of such Party. No assignment or delegation hereof shall relieve the assignor of its obligations under this Agreement in the event that the assignee fails to perform such obligations. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Section, Syniverse shall not be permitted to assign this Agreement in whole or in part to any entity unless either (1) Syniverse pays all bills, past due and current, under this Agreement, or (2) Syniverse’s assignee expressly assumes liability for payment of such bills. 19.2 In the event that Syniverse desires to transfer any services hereunder to another provider of Telecommunications Service, or Syniverse desires to assume hereunder any services provisioned by AT&T to another provider of Telecommunications Service, such transfer of services shall be subject to separately negotiated rates, terms and conditions.

  • Overtime Assignments 1. In classifications where employees are eligible for overtime pay, overtime work shall be offered to employees within the work location involved from the appropriate work group in continuing rotation on the basis of seniority. Each employee shall be selected in turn according to his/her place on the seniority list by rotation provided, however, the employee whose turn it is to work possesses the qualifications, training and ability to perform the specific work required. 2. An employee requesting to be skipped when it becomes his/her turn to work overtime shall not be rescheduled for overtime work until his/her name is reached again in orderly sequence and an appropriate notation shall be made on the overtime roster. 3. In the event no employee accepts required overtime work, the State shall assign employees within the work location involved from the appropriate work group to perform the overtime work by continuing rotation in inverse order of seniority. Employees who are unavailable, including employees who are on vacation, sick leave or other approved leaves of absence, and employees for whom the requirement of overtime work would cause undue hardship, shall be excused from a required overtime assignment. Employees so excused shall not lose their eligibility for overtime work within the then current rotation. 4. Work in progress, when appropriate, shall be completed by the employee performing the work at the time the determination is made that overtime is required except that an employee for whom the requirement of overtime work would cause undue hardship shall be excused from the overtime assignment.
