Center of Excellence. Within twelve (12) months of the date of this Agreement, each Party will establish a Customer center of excellence (a “Customer Center of Excellence”, or “Customer ▇▇▇”). The Customer ▇▇▇ is designated by each Party as a central point of contact for interaction with the other Party’s support organization. As a permanent center of excellence, the Customer ▇▇▇ supports each Party’s efficient implementation, innovation, operation and quality of business processes and systems related to the other Party’s products and services provided under this Agreement, based on the “Run SAP” methodology provided by SAP. 2. Objective shall provide the technical support necessary to ensure successful testing, use and demonstration of its Products during the development phase and the operation of the Center of Excellence. Center of Excellence. The Center of Excellence (COE) is responsible for the systematic deployment, maintenance, and operation of the Phoenix System to the trial courts. Currently, all fifty-eight (58) courts have implemented the Phoenix Financial System. The Phoenix Human Resources System has been deployed to seventeen (17) courts – further deployment efforts are contingent upon additional resources.
1.1.2.1 ▇▇▇ Overview The COE performs complex studies of accounting and human resources/payroll processes, business procedures, and court administrative operations. It also assists in formulation of new or revised policies and/or procedures to meet court administrative and business operation’s needs and implements automated processes where possible. The COE also provides more technical services to the Phoenix Program in partnership with a dedicated unit of the Judicial Council Information Technology office, with the support of other third party managed services and Microsoft Azure cloud services.
1.1.2.2 ▇▇▇ Services and Responsibilities Continually direct project teams of Judicial Council and court representatives in the development of new and revised Financial and HR/Payroll processes and configuration for continuous improvement. Provide the required Project Management services for all efforts, whether they are formal projects or normal maintenance or enhancement requests, to ensure the most efficient use of resources and compliance with industry, program, and judicial branch enterprise and security standards. Develop and modify reports for Financial and HR/Payroll activities specific to court operations and budgeting. Prepare reports with recommendations based on studies and surveys to improve or change accounting and HR/Payroll policies, processes, and procedures. Continually manage the Work of contracted system support consultants involved in support of the Phoenix System on behalf of the courts. Design and build reports to satisfy requests from Third Parties including the California Legislature, the California State Auditor, the Judicial Council, and other branch entities. Provide day-to-day user support and break fix services. Develop requested enhancements; implement system patches and Upgrades for hardware as well as software. Center of Excellence. R1 agrees to the following in connection with the establishment of a center of excellence for revenue cycle management (the “Center of Excellence”):
(a) R1 commits to establish the Center of Excellence in Utah;
(b) R1 will select a location for the Center of Excellence accounting for the following factors (x) a centralized location to accommodate IMH transitioned employees, (y) a location with a sustainable pool of new employees for future growth, and (z) space with capacity for R1 investments in a new, modern and functional workspace;
(c) Over the course of the Term, R1 intends to grow the number of R1 employees located in Utah by [**]; and
(d) R1 direct hires involved in the provision of the Services will be required to attend on-site IMH orientation to learn about the history, mission, vision and values of IMH.
(e) The ▇▇▇ will anchor and expand value added capabilities, driving differentiation that includes:
i. Best practice production operations in areas like financial clearance, financial counseling, coding, transcription, billing and follow-up, backstopped by operations in India;
