Goals and Purpose. Dual Credit is defined as a process by which a high school student enrolls in a college course and receives simultaneous academic credit for the course from both the college and the high school. While dual credit courses are often taught on the secondary school campus to high school students only, this definition also applies when a high school student takes a course on the college campus or electronically and receives both high school and college credit. Dual credit can also be referred to as concurrent course credit - the terms are equivalent. (Chapter 4, Subchapter D, §483, Texas Higher Education Code) The State of Texas has continually raised the bar for higher education, through Closing the Gaps in 2000, and 60x30 TX in 2015. Building a Talent Strong Texas expands on the successes of these previous plans by widening the lens for higher education. Goals and Purpose. The long-term goals of the Batu Ampar demonstration site are to sustain the functions and benefits of the mangrove ecosystem as the life support system for the local community and to sustain the globally and regionally significant biodiversity of the area. Over the three years, the project aims to establish a participatory management system involving all stakeholders in agreed actions to reduce the rate of mangrove degradation and improve the benefits to the local community derived from the mangrove ecosystem.

  • Scope and Purpose 1.01 This document is intended to set out general guidelines and principles regarding child welfare sector integrations during the term of this agreement which are mandated by the Ministry and for which local Human Resources Adjustment Plans (HRAP) are required to be negotiated. The parties agree that they will make reasonable efforts to reduce any negative affect on employees as a result of an integration in accordance with the following.

  • Formation and Purpose Promptly following the Effective Date, the Parties shall confer and then create the JSC and the IPC, and, optionally, create one or more of the other Committees listed in the chart below. Each Committee shall have the purpose indicated in the chart. To the extent that after conferring both Parties agree to not create a Committee (other than the JSC and the IPC), the creation of such Committee shall be deferred until one Party informs the other Party of its then desire to create the so-deferred Committee, at which point the Parties will thereafter promptly create the so-deferred Committee. Joint Steering Committee (“JSC”) Establish projects for the Bacteriophage Program and establish the priorities, as well as approve budgets for such projects. Commercialization Committee (“CC”) Establish project plans and review and approve activities and budgets for Commercialization activities under the Bacteriophage Program.
