Reporting Allowances. It is recognized that, as required by their daily schedules, regular employees expect to start work and finish work at given times exclusive of overtime provisions.
Reporting Allowances. If an employee shall commence work on any day as scheduled, he will receive an allowance equal to his regularly scheduled hours for that day.
Reporting Allowances. 21.01 An employee who reports for work at the starting time of his scheduled shift, without having been previously notified by phone not to report, will be given at least four (4) hours of work at his regular straight time hourly rate of pay, or, if no work is available, he will be paid the equivalent to four (4) hours at his regular straight time hourly rate of pay in lieu of being required to work. This obligation shall not apply in the following circumstances:
a) When the employee has been absent from work and has failed to notify the Company at least the day before of his intention to return to work.
b) When the employee fails to keep the Company informed of a telephone number through which a message can be left for the employee.
c) When the lack of work is due to power shortage, fire, flood, breakdown, or in circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Company.
Reporting Allowances. 22.01 An employee who reports for work at the starting time of his/her scheduled full shift, not having been previously advised not to so report shall be given a minimum of four (4) hours work at any work available within the bargaining unit. The Employer shall not be subject to this obligation in the case of an employee who fails to keep the Employer informed of a telephone number, which may be used by the Employer to give notice, and in the case of fire, power failure, or circumstances beyond reasonable control of the Employer.

Reporting Allowances. 24.01 An employee who reports for work and is sent home by the Company because there is no work available shall be paid the equivalent of 4 hours’ work at straight time, provided he or she has not been notified that his or her services will not be required by the Company at least 2 hours before the start of a regular shift.
24.02 It is understood, however, that payment of the above allowance shall not be required if lack of work is due to circumstances beyond the control of the Company. Whenever this Article is invoked, the Company reserves the right to call/recall employees based on skill and ability to perform the work required for a period up to five working days. Extensions may be granted by mutual agreement.
24.03 An employee who has completed his full normal work day, as scheduled, and who has left the premises of the Company and who has then been called back to return to work, shall, upon reporting back to do the work assignment, be paid a minimum of 4 hours’ pay at straight time.

No payment shall be made if the employee has been notified in advance not to report. To qualify for the above, an employee must remain at work until told by his Supervisor that he may leave and must accept alternate work if it is offered and if refused he shall receive no reporting allowance.
20.02 Any employee, who having left the Company's premises after completing his shift, is called back to work in the case of an emergency, shall be paid a minimum of two (2) hours at his regular rate of pay or time and one-half (1 - 1/2) for the hours actually worked, whichever is the greater.

When a Millwright employed on a job or project reports as usual for work, but is unable to commence work because of Climatic Conditions, he shall be given two (2) hours’ pay at prevailing rates, plus travelling allowances for reporting to the job, provided that the Millwright remains on the job site for the two (2) hour period if so requested by the Employer. When a Millwright employed on a job or project reports as usual for work, unless previously advised that there is no work available, he shall be given three (3) hours’ at the prevailing rates, plus travelling allowance for reporting on the job, provided that the Millwright remains on the job site for the three (3)hour period if so requested by the Employer. This does not apply if there is a dispute. If work is started on any shift and is unable to proceed for any reason except a labour dispute, the Millwright shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours’ pay at the prevailing rates, plus all applicable travelling allowances, provided that the Millwright remains on the job site for the four (4) hour period if so requested by the Employer. Where a limited work force can be used, notwithstanding the application of the conditions outlined in Section and the Foreperson shall divide all work as equally as possible amongst all Employees. The job ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall be notified of those millwrights scheduled to work. When possible, all ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ required to work outside shall be notified before the end of the previous shift. ARTICLE GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE Where a difference arises between the parties regarding the interpretation, application, administration or alleged ▇▇▇▇▇- tion of this Agreement, including any question as to whether a matter is arbitrable, the matter shall be adjusted under the following provisions. It is generally understood that an Employee has no grievance until an opportunity has been given to adjust a complaint. The Employee may discuss the matter, with or without the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or Union Representative, with supervisory person- nel. A period of three (3) working days shall be allowed to adjust a complaint before proceeding to Step One of the grievance procedure. All grievances, including individual, group or policy griev- ances must be in writing and must be filed to commence Step One within twelve (12) days from the com- mencement of the circumstances from which the complaint arose. Reporting Allowances. An employee who reports for work at his or her regular time and who is sent home because no work is available or commences to work but is assigned less than eight (8) hours work, shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay at the appropriate hourly rate. This provision shall not apply in circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Company. (Examples - such as fire, flood, snowstorms, major equipment failure).

A minimum of one-half shift pay at the prevailing guaranteed hourly base rate of the employee's job will be granted an employee reportingfor work who has not been notified prior thereto not to report for work. This is including beyond the control of the company such as acts of God, fire, storm, and power failure. During this two (2) hour period the Company may decide to give leave to such employees and to pay a minimum of two (2) hours at the appropriate rate.
