A Duty Statement clause defines the specific roles, responsibilities, and tasks assigned to a party under an agreement. It typically outlines what is expected of the party, such as the services to be performed, deliverables to be provided, or standards to be met during the contract term. By clearly specifying these obligations, the clause helps prevent misunderstandings and ensures both parties are aware of their respective duties, thereby promoting accountability and smooth contract execution.
Duty Statement. A. Departments shall provide each Unit 21 employee with a duty statement. Upon request, an employee who is transferred or reassigned on a permanent basis shall be provided a revised duty statement.

Every reasonable effort shall be made to provide the Unit member with such duty statement as close to the effective date of transfer or reassignment as possible. See Appendix A.
