PRIORITY FOR OVERTIME. A. Overtime for regularly scheduled shifts and details will be offered in an order of preference based upon a rotating seniority roster.
B. The purpose of this section is to equalize overtime among employees and same shall not be defeated by the employer's selection of special persons within the unit for special details as set forth herein.
C. The language of this Article is meant to apply to the current practice that it is applicable to departmentally ordered overtime only. Extra duty work is not covered by this Article.
A. The employer agrees that it will not unreasonably adjust shifts so as to avoid overtime payment to employees covered by this Agreement and shift changes shall not occur without giving affected employees seventy-two (72) hours notice.
B. The employer agrees that is will not unreasonably deny two (2) employees who mutually agree to switch shifts, within the same rank or position.
C. The employer agrees to give employees in the patrol division an opportunity to switch shifts once per year with such change taking place on January 1. The employee shall submit a request the chief of Police between November 1, and November 15 of the calendar year. The Chief of Police will then post a list of shift assignments by December 1. Seniority shall prevail and be the sole requirement for shift assignments, when a non rotating (fixed) schedule is utilized.
D. Employees shall be permitted to mutually exchange tour(s) of duty with other members of the Bargaining Unit provided such is done with the approval of the Chief of Police or Tour Commanders.
A. Each new employee shall receive from the employer, free of charge in lieu of a clothing allowance, a complete uniform. Annexed hereto as Appendix B is the complete uniform list.
B. Thereafter, the employer will pay each employee, the sum of Five Hundred Fifty ($550.00) Dollars per year as a clothing and maintenance allowance which shall be payable in January of each year.
C. This payment shall be made to plain clothed as well as uniformed employees.
D. If the employer decides to change the uniform or any part thereof, it shall provide to each employee, free of charge, any such changed items.
PRIORITY FOR OVERTIME. Overtime for regularly scheduled shifts and details will be offered to regular full- time employees of the Department first, in an order of preference based upon a rotating seniority roster. There may be certain situations in which the Department, because of special skills or other attributes of a particular officer, determines that it is in the best interests of the Borough to bypass an employee or employees on the seniority list. While this Agreement contemplates such possibilities, it is agreed and understood that such bypassed employee or employees must become next on the list for the purpose of the overtime roster. The purpose of this clause is to equalize overtime among employees and same shall not be defeated by the Borough's selection of special persons for special details as set forth herein. Such overtime will be offered to persons other than full-time employees only if it has first been refused by each member on the seniority roster aforementioned.

The bypassed Employee shall then become next on the list for the purposes of the overtime roster. The purpose of this section is to equalize overtime among Employees as best as is feasible and same shall not be defeated by the Employer’s selection of special persons for details as set forth herein. Such overtime will be offered to persons other than full-time Employees only if it has first been refused by each member on the seniority roster aforementioned.
PRIORITY FOR OVERTIME. Officers of the Little Ferry Police Department assigned to the Patrol Division will be permitted to volunteer for overtime assignments on the Employee’s scheduled days off. One voluntary overtime list will be maintained for Lieutenants and Sergeants and one for patrol officers. The volunteer, who has had the least amount of overtime opportunities in a given year, will be the first on the overtime list and will be the first to be offered the opportunity to work overtime, whenever the Borough incurs the need for an Employee from that list to work overtime. If, in following the above procedure in an attempt to obtain overtime coverage, the Borough reaches a point on any of the two lists where the amount of overtime worked by the remaining Patrol Officers or Sergeants and Lieutenants on that list is equal, then overtime will be distributed on the basis of seniority of the remaining Employees on that list.

17.02 There may be certain situations in which the Department, because of special skills or other attributes of a particular Officer, determines that it is in the best interests of the Employer to bypass an employee or employees on the seniority list.
17.03 While this Agreement contemplates the possibilities noted in Section 17.02, it is agreed and understood that such bypassed employee or employees must be placed come next on the list for the purpose of the overtime roster. The PBA shall have the right to review such roster upon reasonable request.
17.04 The purpose of this section is to equalize overtime among employees.

14.02 Said rotating list shall be provided to the Department by the Employee organization and shall be kept current. There shall be one overtime rotational list for the Employees in the rank of Patrolman and a second list which shall rotate for Superior Officers who are not in the Detective Bureau. Superior's vacancy shall be filled with Superiors wherever possible and Patrolmen vacancies shall be filled with Patrolmen.
14.03 All personnel shall report when called, as expeditiously as possible, in an emergency situation.

If an Employee refuses overtime on two consecutive occasions when it is his turn as number one on the rotating seniority list, then the Employer may in such occasion skip that Employee’s turn and proceed to the next Employee on the rotating overtime list.
15.04 The purpose of this section is to equalize overtime among Employees and same shall not be defeated by the Employer’s selection of special persons for special details as set forth herein.
15.05 Officers of the Little Ferry Police Department assigned to the Patrol Division will be subject to a call out list for involuntary overtime assignments on the Employee’s scheduled days off. One call out list will be maintained for Lieutenants and Sergeants and one for patrol officers. Each list will be in reverse seniority order and for the Lieutenants and Sergeants will be listed in job seniority order without regard to rank. The call out list will be used to order Employees to work overtime when no volunteer is available to work.
