Vehicle operators. If the Director of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development has established a schedule of wage rates to be paid to the operators of trucks, vehicles or equipment for the Services, CONTRACTOR shall be obligated to pay such operators at least the minimum wage rate contained on such schedule. (See M.G.L. c.149, §§ 26-27H).
Vehicle operators. All potential vehicle operators shall have a safe driving record and current Class C driver's license. All vehicle operators shall be 18 years of age or older. Potential vehicle operators shall be subject to driving record and criminal background checks through the California Highway Patrol. Potential vehicle operators shall be sufficiently trained and experienced in the tasks of tow truck operations and proficient with all required Freeway Service Patrol equipment to provide safe and proper service. Any certified driver from other FSP areas will be evaluated on a case by case basis. All potential vehicle operators must be capable of demonstrating their tow operating abilities prior to formal CHP training. Additionally, the vehicle operators will be required to exercise good, sound judgment in carrying out their duties. FSP vehicle operators shall be required to inform the CHP Communications Center at any time he/she leaves the assigned beat for more than 10 minutes. This includes replenishing expendable items such as gasoline, fire extinguisher, breaks, etc. The vehicle operator shall be required to immediately notify the CHP Communications Center upon a truck breakdown. The FSP vehicle operator shall be required to complete assist records for each incident. The CHP, Caltrans, and SBC SAFE maintain strict drug and alcohol policies. Contractors shall have an alcohol and drug program that includes at a minimum, a drug and alcohol free workplace policy, and an employee alcohol/drug-testing program. Any Freeway Service Patrol vehicle operator found working under the influence of drugs or alcohol shall be immediately removed from the FSP program by the Contractor. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing a certified replacement vehicle operator for that vehicle. The Contractor shall also be an active participant in the DMV Pull Notice Program. If a vehicle operator is convicted of a crime involving a stolen vehicle, stolen property, violence, drugs or moral turpitude, fraud related to the towing business, or misdemeanor or felony driving while under the influence of alcohol or a drug, the Contractor shall permanently remove that vehicle operator from duties under the FSP program. If a vehicle operator is charged with any of the above crimes, the Contractor shall immediately suspend that vehicle operator from duties under this program pending the outcome of the criminal case. Vehicle operators. CITY shall obtain driving and criminal background checks for all vehicle operators from the State of Florida Department of Law Enforcement or other sources approved by Contract Administrator. CITY shall require its vehicle operators performing the services hereunder to notify CITY within 24 hours of any conviction for any traffic violation (except parking). CITY shall not employ a vehicle operator to perform Community Bus Service that does not meet the requirements of Florida law. All employees operating a Vehicle must have been a licensed operator for at least three (3) years (time spent driving on a learner's permit does not count towards this requirement). 2.15.1 CITY shall not employ or retain any vehicle operators or supervisors whose driving record, as compiled by the Department of Motor Vehicles of the state of Florida, contains a conviction or plea of nolo contender regardless of whether adjudication was withheld, for any of the following: a. No more than one (1) moving violation in the last three (3) years*. b. An at-fault accident in the last three (3) years*. c. A Failure to Appear or a Failure to Pay in the last three (3) years*. d. A Reckless Driving in the last seven (7) years*. e. A Driving Under the Influence (DUI) with the last seven (7) years*. Two convictions (lifetime) for DUI is automatic disqualification. f. A suspension within the last three (3) years*. One suspension for PIP permitted. g. A Manslaughter resulting from the operation of a motor vehicle. h. Any combination of violations that indicate a pattern of irresponsibility or poor judgment. 2.15.2 CITY shall provide current copies of the following records of all employees that operate the Vehicle(s) to the BCT Safety Manager, with a copy to Contract Administrator. Vehicle operators. Adequate numbers of drivers and aides shall be recruited, hired, trained, and licensed by vendor to meet the regular and substitute driver needs required to successfully operate the number of buses awarded. The required number of drivers and aides/monitors must be maintained to cover all routes without resorting to coverage by administrative staff. All records shall be made available by the Board, upon request. Drivers, aides, and buses must meet or exceed all requirements of the Ohio Revised Code Title 33 Section 3327.01, Section 3301-83, and Section 3301-2-01 213 (49 CFR 571.213 Copies of these requirements can be found in the Ohio Department of Education Publication entitled Ohio Pupil Transportation, Operation and Safety rules.

Vehicle operators must have all appropriate California Driver's Licenses and Certificates as well as any other licenses, certificates or training required by applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly desirable. 5. Thorough knowledge of the service area street network. 6. Sensitivity to passengers' needs, including assisting passengers, upon their request. 7. Able to address complaints and problems as required. Vehicle operators must be trained in all operational procedures relating to the system. Training must include customer service techniques for interacting with the public in a helpful and courteous manner, basic information about the route and the City of Malibu, and sensitivity and empathy training directed towards the needs of elderly and passengers with limited mobility, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Contractor shall describe how it will maintain an ongoing employee safety and training program. Vehicle operators shall be trained to operate all types of vehicles, wheelchair lifts, ramps, and securement systems, as well as, other equipment which they may be expected to use in the Dial-A-Ride services. Vehicle operators. 10.1.1 CapMetro recognizes that the success of its transportation program, service delivery and overall customer experience is built upon the strength of its Vehicle Operators. The expectation is that the Contractor will ensure Vehicle Operators maintain a primary focus on Safety and excellent customer service. Vehicle operators shall work under the daily direction of the OCC. Conditions (Exhibit E - Revised-5), Vehicle Operators shall meet the following pre-employment requirements: (i) Possess a valid State of Texas License appropriate for the class of vehicle to be operated. (vi) Any personnel assigned to operate a CapMetro revenue vehicle shall pass a Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and a comprehensive drug screen as detailed by 49 CFR 391.41. Vehicle operators. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that vehicle operators meet the following standards: 5.2.1 Operators must be in uniforms approved by the CITY. 5.2.2 Each operator must report to CONTRACTOR’s Dispatcher before starting their shift and at the end of the shift to ensure that all appearance and uniform standards are met. 5.2.3 Vehicle operators will work a schedule that ensures a consistent and overall high quality of service. 5.2.4 Operators of vehicles involved in the CITY transportation program shall not have operated any vehicle for more than twelve consecutive hours. Nor shall any driver operate any vehicle for a City program event without having had, immediately preceding such twelve hours of operation, no less than eight consecutive hours time off within the previous sixteen hours during which no Program vehicle was operated by such driver. Nor shall any driver operate any vehicle in excess of ten (10) hours, per CHP Regulations, as those regulations may be amended. 5.2.5 Vehicle operators must have proficient understanding and use of the English language, a valid California Class II or Class B (with appropriate endorsements) Driver’s License and Medical Examiner’s Certificate, as well as any other licenses required by applicable federal, state and local regulations. 5.2.6 Operators will be aware of basic Program operational procedures and shall answer Patron inquiries in a friendly and positive manner. 5.2.7 Absolutely no smoking will be allowed by operators while performing transportation services under this Agreement or within vehicles used for transportation under this Agreement. 5.2.8 Operators will not solicit tips from Program participants. 5.2.9 Field Supervisors will be physically present within the County of Orange during 100% of the operating hours of the Program to monitor and ensure operator quality and performance, and to ensure smooth operation of the Program. 5.2.10 CONTRACTOR shall comply with all applicable existing and future federal, state, and local regulations concerning drug testing of employees when applicable. Vehicle operators. Contractor personnel operating private owned vehicles on the installation shall have a valid state license to operate a motor vehicle and shall comply with the current Installation Standard Operating Procedures. (Contractor is responsible to ensure all employees have current vehicle insurance while operating vehicles on the Installation).
Vehicle operators. The Contractor agrees to the following conditions regarding operators of all Vehicles (“Vehicle Operators”): A. The Contractor shall take the highest degree of care in recruiting and selecting Vehicle Operators. Subject to any applicable confidentiality requirements, the District reserves the right to review all personnel records and personnel used in the performance of the Contract. All Vehicle Operators shall be properly licensed and qualified by the State of Connecticut, and no other Vehicle Operators may be used. All Vehicle Operators shall be in compliance with all local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations. The Contractor shall provide an ongoing program of classroom and road training at its expense in accordance with federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations to assure continued state certification of all Vehicle Operators. C. The District or its authorized agents may approve or disapprove prior to and during employment any or all Vehicle Operators for the operation of Vehicles. Notification shall be made by the District to the Contractor of such Vehicle Operators considered to be unsatisfactory by the District. Such Vehicle Operators shall not be allowed to operate Vehicles under this Contract and shall be replaced immediately upon notification from the District. D. The Contractor assumes full responsibility for the actions of its employees while such operators are performing services pursuant to this Contract. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for the supervision, daily direction, control, payment of salary, including, but not limited to, the withholding of all federal and state income taxes and social security, for all Vehicle Operators and employees. The Contractor assumes all responsibility and/or liability that may arise in connection with any and all labor agreements. E. The Contractor shall provide standby Vehicle Operators to ensure no lapse in service. Contractor shall provide the information for such standby Vehicle Operators that is required for Vehicle Operators under this Contract. F. Demonstrate the physical agility to perform the requirements of this position, including but not limited to, the ability to assist a passenger in a manual wheelchair move up or down ADA ramps and be physically able to fold and store a manual mobility device if necessary.
