HOURS OF WORK AND WAGES. Section A. The employer reserves the right to determine the schedule and the hours of work. However, in no event shall employees be assigned a permanent schedule that, if annualized, would exceed 2935 hours per year. If the employer changes its schedule so that the employee is permanently scheduled to work less than 2600 hours per year then the hourly wage rate for that employee will be adjusted as follows: The appropriate hourly wage rate shown in the wage table in Section B multiplied by 2600 and divided by the annual total of hours to be worked in the new schedule.
Section B. Hourly rates are set forth below in attached Exhibit B. Annual salaries are calculated based on all scheduled hours times the appropriate wage rate, including scheduled overtime rates. For ease of calculation, the Employer will use 2978 times the straight wage rate to calculate annualized compensation, where 2978 is based on 2920 hours scheduled including 164 hours of overtime pursuant to §7(k) of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Recall rate. Recall and extra hours worked for employees working on the 24/48 schedule will be authorized by the chief and be paid at the applicable hourly rates stated above. Fill in hours other than a full shift will be limited to a maximum of 12 hours between scheduled shifts unless specifically authorized by the Chief.
Section C. In order to change the schedule, the employer must give 30 days advance notice of that change to the Union in writing.
Section D. A listing of open slots in the schedule for the following month will be posted by the 22nd of the current month where bargaining unit employees may sign up to work additional hours according to the policy of the Department. Sign-ups will be on a seniority basis however the parties agree that changes to this selection process may be made by the unanimous vote of the Labor Management Committee.

11:03 Overtime shall apply to all hours worked in excess of seven and one-half (7½) hours in any one day or in more than thirty seven and one-half (37½) hours in one week. All overtime shall be voluntary.
11:04 Such overtime work shall be paid at the rate of double time. All overtime work must be authorized by the President of Local 914 or whoever is designated in his or her absence.
11:05 All work performed on a Saturday or on an employee's paid Friday off shall be paid at time and one-half. All work performed on a Sunday shall be paid at double time.

HOURS OF WORK AND WAGES. 10.01 The normal work week for a regular full time Employee shall be thirty-five (35) hours per week divided into five (5) days from Monday to Friday, inclusive with regular work hours scheduled between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., exclusive of meal breaks.

10.04 The Employer shall determine individual work schedules. Except where operational requirements do not permit, the Employer will give an affected Employee notice of an intended change of working hours not less than seven (7) calendar days in advance of implementation.
10.05 The Employer shall, where the Employer determines that operational requirements and efficiency of service permit, authorize a flexible working hours schedule. The Employer agrees that the determination shall not be made in an unreasonable manner.
10.06 Any Employee who is required by the Employer to work through the lunch period may receive the equivalent time off at the end of the day.
10.07 Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as a minimum guarantee of hours of work.
10.08 In the event the Municipal Administration Building is temporarily closed for reasons of health, security or safety, Employees may be relocated to another place of work or, if necessary, laid off. If lay off occurs it shall be in accordance with Article 18.

HOURS OF WORK AND WAGES. 5.1 Working Schedules Work schedules are defined as an employee's assigned hours, days of the week, and days off. Schedules for all employees shall be posted five (5) days in advance except in emergency circumstances. Whenever possible, the District will provide twenty-four (24) hours notice prior to requiring work outside the normal work schedule. Nothing in this agreement constitutes a minimum guarantee of work for an employee. Nothing herein shall prevent the District and employee from mutually agreeing to a flexible schedule outside the normally scheduled hours. Employees who regularly work thirty (30) hours or more per week shall be considered full-time employees. All bargaining unit employees shall be paid for all hours worked. Mandatory attendance at meetings shall be considered as hours worked. All eleven (11) month employees will be allowed to take their unpaid leave with approval of their supervisor. When assigning part time custodians additional temporary work (substituting for full time custodians) the District shall make a good faith effort to equalize the work among part time custodians in the building. 5.2 Overtime Authorized overtime will be that time worked, with approval of the responsible Superintendent or supervisor of the division, over forty (40) hours in any one week and compensated at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) their hourly rate.
