1) STANDARD DOCUMENT APPROVED AS TO FORM OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY JULY 28, 2023 PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project as we understand it consists of tenant improvements to existing office and common spaces on floors 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8 of the existing ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Municipal Building. SCOPE OF WORK The Scope of Work listed below is based on our review of the plans dated 11/6/23 and the construction schedule dated 10/23/23. Geotechnical recommendations are to be provided by others. STRUCTURAL PROPRIETARY STEEL INSPECTION - The inspector will verify structural anchor and epoxy dowel installation. Inspection will include depth, diameter, and cleanliness of hole. The inspector will periodically verify that the mixing and application of two-part epoxy is per manufacturer recommendations. If conditions warrant, test cubes will be cast of the mixed two-part components to verify setting of mixture. This may include inspection of life safety, pressurized piping, access flooring, and emergency equipment (emergency generators) anchors. STRUCTURAL STEEL INSPECTION - The inspector will inspect fabrication (if required) and erection of structural steel members. Inspections at the fabrication plant will include verifying that materials used match the mill tests or affidavits of test reports; that fabrication, welding procedures, surface preparation, and shop painting meet specifications; and that the work in progress conforms to project requirements. The inspector shall visually check fabricated steel delivered to the job to confirm that the work is in compliance with approved shop drawings and shall make any physical tests, measurements, etc., believed to be necessary, and shall witness and report all corrections performed by the steel fabricator. 1) STANDARD DOCUMENT APPROVED AS TO FORM OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY JULY 28, 2023 The City will determine which plans are to be reviewed by BHC.
A. Each plan review shall be identified as a separate task as determined and setup by the City. Tasks shall be LUMP SUM (per Item 1 below) unless otherwise agreed between the City and BHC, in which case they shall be HOURLY (per Item 2 below).
B. All plan submittal documents must be submitted to BHC in a complete set including all pertinent engineering calculation, specifications, and engineering details. In addition, all geotechnical reports and data must accompany the complete plan review submittal. All plan review time used in sorting or deciphering incomplete submittal information will be charged as part of the initial review.
C. The plan review process, including plan markups, correction letters, resubmittals and final document review approval will be determined by the City and directed accordingly to BHC.
D. BHC will review all electronically submitted files and documents using Bluebeam and/or Adobe. All files submitted to BHC must be submitted to the BHC document manager. 1. Provide staff and services on an on-call, as-needed basis.
2. Provide in-house personnel or sub-consultants for environmental services to support regulatory compliance for the repair and replacement of City infrastructure. Provide qualified environmental professional(s) as needed based on the assigned task.
3. Prior to mutual acceptance of a task assignment, prepare a Scope of Work and written itemized cost estimate for the requested services.
4. Environmental support services are anticipated to include, but are not limited to:
